mkeigwin--
I am currently running the MP5 and heard that the "SB" was coming out-- Let us know how it differs from the non SB MP5 when you get it screwed on! Also if mixture settings were different for the pipe etc!

Thanks

i got a chance to try this pipe at the mayday ff. i was running a os50 hyper and i really liked the mp5sb way better then my align pos pipe. it made more power then the align pipe and sounded way better also.

the difference between a mp5 and the mp5sb pipe is the mp5 likes to run more on the richer side where the sb likes being in the leaner side so it will have more power. the mp5sb is more for the hard core 3d pilot that wants to get the bit more power out of the motor.

i gotta say after i had to give Curtis the pipe back (which i tryed to hide from him , but he found me...lol) i put back on the align pipe and i wasnt happy with it at all. after 5 flights with it the baffle came lose and metal went thru my motor and well lets say its toast now.....

from what they told me . it was made for the guy's that are into hard 3d and want all the power that you can get . it also was made to take on the align pipe.
the pipe will clear out faster so you can lean out the motor more. Curtis will be posting it on his web site soon. he has a lot of new stuff coming out in the next few weeks. as always any thing he make it will do what it was made to do. i will be trying one this weekend on my redline 53, right now i have been useing the 2pc JK Hatori on that motor and it works great. i also have a funtech A395 to try out, i have been told that the funtech is a easy to tune pipe on the YS 50 or OS hyper but have yet to give it a go.

until the masses get it . info will be hard to come by.

mike the new pipe that cy has designed, it's all about back pressure for the motor. more back pressure more POWER

Yes it is. I completely plugged my muffler with a banana. No exhaust could get out. Back pressure went thru the roof. The engine never ran better. I'm thinking of making a liner with no exhaust valve, should be a powerhouse.

check my link, excessive backpressure is not a good thing and robs the motor of power. A little bit is ok to help make sure the fuel burns more completely, but just saying adding more backpressure gives more power is not accurate.

again.
