I know this is a touchy subject, but i have a blade 400 with the stock 110hl gyro.the tail holds okay in a hover or modreate forward flight, but if you go to clime out or pitch to get out of trouble it gets real squirley.i been looking at the gy240,im wondering how much of a difference there realy is.i guess this is were the lack of experience comes in.i changed all the servos to spektrum dsp75 and that helped a little.any advice

what goes up,must come down.

a better tail servo like a futaba 3154 will help too. but the b400 tail isnt the best holding taill even when i had my 40 on it. with a better servo and better gyro you should be happy though.

check out the classifieds here on RR, there are usually very good deals to be had on 401's.

If you are looking to save a little the futaba 240 gyro is great on 400 size and 450 size, also very easy to setup.

spend a little more and go with the 401.it is easy to use and it will grow with your flying abillity.the others dont hold as well durring more advanced flying.it will take you alot longer to outgrow it.do get the one that comes with the servo though.you dont want a crummy servo on a good gyro.

the servos you are using are fine for the cyclics though just not fast enough for the gyro.
