Beginners Corner > Help with buying my 2nd Heli. A T-Rex 500.

I started off with the blade CX 2 and now I want to buy my second Heli. However, being new to the hobby, only since December 25 th, 2007 I have no clue if they drop in price over time or if they pretty much stay the same.

Right now I am not ready to fly the T-Rex 500. I still have my G4 Sims in the Box sealed. Been busy with other things and trying to customize the blade and sell kits made out of Aluminum and airbrushed canopy's. More so just because I enjoy doing it then anything else.

I also know the T-Rex 500 just came out not to long ago. The hobby shop called three weeks ago and said mine was in and ready to pick up. They would help me build it from the ground up. Which is the way the I want to do it.

My question is, do Helis drop in price like almost everything else? Have the T-Rex 450 dropped in price since they came out? Or do they pretty much hold their value and I should just buy it now and pack it away until I am ready to fly it?

Many thanks
Ty...

What you paid today for the 500 will be the same 6 months from now.

Respectfully though if your worried about the price perhasp you should get somethin justa tad cheaper.

All prices will eventualy degrade over time. Theres nothing you can do about it.

Na it will stay the same. For example back a year or two ago, a t-rex 450sa kit cost $200. Still costs the same now.

Stays the same for the most part. Occasional specials. Also... best if you don't put more into it than its worth. Sometimes its better to buy a whole new model rather than spending on all the upgrades to get it there.

IMO

I say skip to nitro and join the fun, and learn a hell of a lot more.

Thanks for all the tips. I am not worried about the price. I know I will spend about $1200 to get it set up. I was just wondering if it drops in price like everything else does once it is out a few months.

Nitro will be my next step, but for now, I think the neighbors will be happy I didn't go that route just yet. I have 50 acres just down the street I can go fly, but I rather enjoy sitting on the deck and flying on a warm summer day and crashing it into the house. Back to the hobby store I go!!!!!....::

Thanks again for all the advice.

LOL yeah just wanted to try something different. Got a LOT of flight time on that bird. I think I will buy a 700n or Aurora at the end of this summer I already feel the pain of going back to 4 minute flight times
