I didn't wring it out too much since the YS 91 was brand new and the canopy has not been painted yet. First couple of tanks were mostly hovering and slow, low circiuts at 1600 headspeed. Very smooth, stable and precise once the cyclic was trimmed out.

On the third flight the needles were leaned out a few clicks and the head speed was bumped up to 1750. I also bumped up the collective pitch to +/-12 degrees. Still running sloppy rich, the Aurora really woke up. This bad boy is very responsive and extremely precise. I did some low high speed circuits and some big funnels. Tracking was perfect. Rolls and flips were lightening quick and on axis. Can't wait to put a high visability canopy on this thing, set the GV1 to 1850 rpm and bump the collective to +/-14!

Better yet, why not have a thread just for showing off wiring jobs.

I was looking at the design and realised (like the Trex600) that it is possible to hide ALL wiring.

I'll take some pics tomorrow but I don't think I'll win any prizes for neatness. My only concern was making sure that the plugs couldn't get disconnected in flight or the wires cut by the carbon frames.

There was a lot of vibration from the drivetrain as shown by the fuel boiling in the tank when I flew the Aurora yesterday. Took the engine out, the clutch and hub dial indicated at .0002 runout and the fan balanced almost perfectly. On re-assembly, I turned the engine over with a starter before tightening the motor mounts and start shaft bearing blocks. I flew a couple tanks this evening and the vibration is gone.

I'm really impressed with this helicopter. It is feels incredibly agile but always solid and stable. Reminds me a lot of the 3DNT I had a couple of years ago.

3D,

It looks great! I still haven't yet decided which 90 to get. I've got a stratus but wanted a second. My eye has been on the Aurora for so long.
