e-Gaui Hurricane 200 & 550 - EP100 > Hurricane 550 Help - ESC or motor problem

Hi, got a bit of a problem and not sure how to check which item is the culprit?. Had a flight with my Hurricane today and afterwards noticed the motor was very hot to the touch, I mean OUCH hot!!, as was the ESC but not so much OUCH!, but the flight went ok without any problems. Let it cool down for 30 mins or so and went to have another flight, this time no tunes when connecting the battery and no response to the stick. Can anyone advise how to check which is the problem using a multimeter?.

Many thanks

not sure how the gui motor is wound, but you should not read continuity between any of the wires and the case of the motor or armature...if so the wires melted.... I would also check between the three wires and see what readings you get....any two should be the same..but that might not tell much....

Not sure on any way to check the esc....

if you have any other type of brushless motor...try hooking up to the esc...

sorry couldn't be of more help.....maybe if you post in the motor section...you can get some real engineer types.

Mike... Blade CP, HBCP2, Revo w/belt drive, Zoom 400, Eco 8, Hurricane 550, DX7 2.4
