Hey Everyone!

I am setting up a Trex 450 for some nite flying. I recieved my K&B night tail blades today and have a few questions.

1. Where are you guys mounting the LED for the tail blades and how are you wiring it up, to the ESC or to the glow driver lipo?

2. They appear to be 'glow in the dark' blades and the LED is provided to do 2 things, charge the blades up somehow and if the LED goes dead the Blades should have enough 'glow in the dark charge' to keep the tail lit to land.

? Do I have to set the tail blades in the sun to get them to charge, as with most 'glow in the dark stuff' ???

Also, if anyone has any decent pics of the LED mounting, I would appreciate it greatly!

Figures, I went to check the LED and it doesn't work, surprise! Resistance check reveals a short. Oh and RH isn't open on Saturdays!

Anyone flying these K&B nite tail blades, can you post a pic of your wiring on the tail UV LED?

I tried a set of tail blades with the LED on my trex 450. I use a 200mA 2s lipo for my align glow driver. I wired the led to the power lead of the glow driver. I put a bend in the wires at the LED and taped it in position on top of the boom to shine on the blades near the tip. The LED would only illuminate about a half inch strip across the blade. They seem to loose most of their brightness a few minutes after the light is removed.

The night stuff was removed for indoor flying and has not been reinstalled yet.
