I recently experienced a total clutch failure on my new Hawk Sport and all circumstances pointed to a faulty part.
Now although a UK resident, I bought my heli whilst on visit to the US. It seemed that this had left me without support, the UK distributor certainly wasn’t interested. However, Runryder regulars suggested that I contacted Century (Heli World) in the US.
I did so, not really expecting anything, but was very pleasantly surprised when Dennis Cica, got back to me offering to replace the failed parts, including an upgrade to a metal bell.
To further complicate the saga, I had already replaced the parts at my own expense and so asked Dennis if he would be prepared to offer different spares/upgrades to a similar value – I suggested a nice Torpedo Muffler.
I received a package from the States today. This was a very rapid turn around and not only did it hold a nice new torpedo muffler but Dennis had also included the metal clutch bell.
Century were within their rights to tell me “sorry, but not our problem” but instead I received fantastic service which really did go beyond the call of duty.
