Compass Knight 50 > I need to red loc-tite these...

This is the 2nd time this happens. And now I know for sure I used plenty of blue loc-tite and torque to fasten it. It seems my non-stop tic-toc practice was too much today.. (for those that remember my previous thread -- I am down to 8-9 minutes flight time now )

I will just attach the struts without spacers now. That was in fact how my pre-owned Knight 3D came.

One issue I have noticed now is that this area of the frame, under the fuel tank, is really flexible, and the next time I need to order, I will probably include those parts I think I saw that might stiffen it up a little.

It is my opinion that if blue Locktite does not hold there applied to clean threads, you might have some other problem, such as too much vibration. I use blue on mine there without any problems.

I agree, if blue locktight isn't holding, look for the cause elsewhere.

No problems with blue here myself, but I clean all bolts prior to using it too.
I wouldn't use red,,It would work great until you had to remove it.

I think you are right -- I probably did not clean off oil residue well enough. Will do and try again Thanks.

Check that your tail rotor hub is not bent. I had a bent one that actually broke the ends off of some carbon struts. Other than the strut problems I had no other signs of a problem from the heli. Best way to check, remove full tail rotor, hold grips and blades and lightly flex in and out. If hub rotates it's bent.
