i am trying to help my brother out with the set up of his 200. i have seen that almost everyone has been mounting the gyro behind the battery, receiver in the front of the frame (above the batt) and the esc on the side...

what i was wondering, is anyone having problems with the gyro being that close to the main shaft. i was under the impression for some reason that it needed to be mounted as far out for sensitivity. is this wrong?

his set up is going to be: ar6000 rx, stock motor, stock esc, batts that came with it, and a gy401.

if anyone has a better way of placing everything, could you please post some photos?

much appreciated

There are some great pics right in this section. Behind the batt, under the shaft works AOK for me.

Not sure if the 401 has this limitation, but the HS5000 gyro instructions state that it has to be 10cm away from the motor to prevent glitching. So under the mainshaft isn't far enough away. I'm going to try and make a platform near the rear of the frame.

Any body know where I can get more of that gyro foam tape?
