Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > What's the cost of a flybarless system ??

Hi Guy's

I'm thinking of going flybarless on one of my JR Vibe 50's. Can anyone give me a list of available flybar systems ? ie: manufacturer
and an idea of the cost of conversion.

I dont have any experience of this technology, and I'm a FAI/F3C flyer. I have no interest in the 3D stuff.

Cheers

Vbar

The Mikado Vbar is the only one I have tried but it's definitely one of the top contenders...

A Mikado Vbar unit will cost you 700$ in the USA...

not sure what it cost over the pond though...

Why is flybarless only for 3D? Do the benefits somehow not apply to FAI/F3C style flying?

There's the Skookum SK360 but I would say the jury is still out on this one although firmware updates are helping. I'm patiently waiting for the ProBar. CARLO, WHEN CAN WE GET ONE?

i wasnt trying to be rude or anything just that its really not needed for fai stuff, and you cant use in compitition anyway.

but with the heavy blades and heavy paddles they use i believe is the better choice just to use them.

The VBAR is around 650.00 plus 54.00 for the Swash Driver. Depending on your heli, you might be able to modify the existing head with very little cost, otherwise, you may have to purchase a flybarless head which would be another 125.00 - 150.00! It is pretty pricey for a good system.
