It looks no good at all for saturday. I guess only fri and sunday will be good. I may still come up but if its rainning it may not be wirth it. Will you guys do the derby on sunday or friday now?? It looks like the storm broke through and is now moving right for us. I hope it hits friday and clear by saturday. Welk I guess we will see. Its only 2hrs away so i guess ill just drive up. That sux really bad. See you guys soon.

Ran out to field about 9:20 this evening. Saw some great nite flight by Bill and Raja. I think Ray was there because I heard some snorring from a chair. Hope ou guys have fun tomorrow while I work!

Arrived at 5pm to the field

Put in 2 Spectra-g flights and 2 1005 flights for a total of over 1 hr in the air. Chatted with the fellas here and had some dinner with Bill and Brent at this nice lady's camper. Then went out and night flew the 450 6 flights, had one battery to go but on the 6th flight the damn belt snapped (always gets me) and it went into that fast pirouette thing. I pretty much leveled it and hit hold, and she came down like a shot pigeon, bounced once and laid down. I got there to find the blades survived along with the canopy, flybar and boom. Damage is lower frames cracked, belt gone, and one of the tail blade grips bent (need a new screw)? Unclear whether the mainshaft is bent or not, will have to roll it on the table to be sure.

Will be back tomorrow to burn some gas and put some good hours on the gassers knowing that Saturday could be a no-fly zone day.
