Drained gallon #12 this evening in a drizzle. The wind was pretty calm and I pulled out a Raptor 50 I hadn't flown in a while. It was an awesome evening. Tomorrow I head back with gallon #13, the Raptor 50 and a Pantera 50.

Well I started to get a 2nd tank in and I cooked the starter. It has been acting up for the last few weeks but it decided to go out today.

Me too. Flew the end of gallon #12, all of #13 and tapped gallon #14 as I finished up flying the Tiger this evening. Weather was very cooperative finally!

I thought about chucking up the start shaft into a drill but I thought that it might be a sign not to fly today.

Marty if you keep burning a gallon and a half a day you are going to get the EPA after us.

I bought 6 cases in late december. sold 1 case to a buddy and i have i case left so thats 16 gallons, but in the last 2 months i've been flying mostly my fleet of 600 e helis and have only burned 2 gallons of nitro since, but i have about 700/800 flights in on my eletrics in those 2 months
last year i flew nothing but nitro and went through 12 cases, that's 48 gallon's.
like the man said if you aint flyin you aint trying.

Thats funny John. That was over the course of a weekend between my Raptor 60, raptor 50 and the Audacity Tiger. I wont burn much this week. I have some non-model stuff to do but it makes me yearn for and appreciate the heli flying time when I do make it back out. Reads like Centuryman is sicker than all of us.....probably single too-or should be!

Not single . but the wife works afternoon's and it's been slow at work so only work 40 hours a week last 6 month's,

I figure anything worth doing is worth doing well.with that being said i logged 60 plus flights last weekend.with eletrics you get alot more flight time then with nitro's,less repair and more flying ,plus it's about half the cost ,and the performance of a good e setup can't be touched be a nitro of any kind.

Take for instance on saterday i started the day with one of my knights,of course the starting shaft failed so i sucked the fuel out and grabbed the other knight. it took me an hour to get 2 flights in. with my eletrics i can get 6 /8 flights in easy in an hour .plus i can fly out of my back yard so that helps big time,so far no complaint's from the neighbors, but i try to only fly the e heli's in the back yard to be curtious to the neighbors.

Flew last night. I took a nap after work and headed out to the field when it got dark. The Tiger night ship with it's new lighted tail blades flew great! I think with a E ship you could log that many flights. I fly my e-ship at lunch. 4 min flight on a charge. If I had a sh$t load of batterys I could stuff a ton of flights in a lunch hour.
I get 10 on a tank with nitro. do the math per hour.
I think if we are talking about how many flights. We should log flight time.
Then it's all the same.
But as long as your flying, your trying. Thats a good thing.

I have 7 e helis and 12 batteries, 7 chargers ,4 power supplies and a generator.

no waiting here.
with my flying style i only get 7/8 minutes flight time on nitro's ,6 min on my venture.and 4 minutes on eletrics so i figure 2 to 1.seams like the more i fly the shorter my flight times get and the hotter my batteries get.

Guess i must be haveing fun today on my trex 500 with a 6s 2500 battery,on a 4 minute flight i put back 2450 witch is way past 80% i normally put back 1800 to 2000 in 4 minutes.but a buddy was over and i guess i had to show off and i never let up to let it get a breather.funny i here of guys getting 6 plus minutes on the same set up,the first 2 (shake down flights ) i got 6 min but not more then 4.5 since.
