Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > Any particular blades better for Flybarless?

I have a Xtreme 50 and am making it flybarless with the VBAR. I have CY radix 600's (not stickbangers) and Rototech 610's. Are these blades good for flybarless or is there a better choice? I know these blades are good conventional setups.

I would say you can't go wrong with either....Try them both out, and see what you like....

I will, I didnt know if blade characteristics played a bigger role in flybarless systems or not.

I have both of those blades and flew both of them on my logo 600 and 600n flybarless. The radix are great on both and the rotortechs are pitchy in forward flight. More pitchy on the Logo, almost scary. I'd rather have two sets of radix.

Well I just ordered a pair of VBlade TST's to try also, I will try all three and see what happens!! I hope the CY's are the best cuz theyre 20 bucks cheaper than the Rototechs and 35 bucks cheaper than the V's!!

Vstab Forum

Go to the vstab forum they talk at length about what blade characteristics are better for VBAR. Vbar likes stiff, low inertia blades, that are balanced across the blade width. This puts the least load on the servos and allows for the best system response. You almost want a little bit of blade flutter during manuevers. The downside to this is that blades like this don't auto as well.

I am running the Mav G5's with great success on my Logo 600. I have also run the TST's that work fine. In reality all the blades will work OK. But so far the best I have tried on my Logo are the G5s they flutter just a bit and feel rock solid during all manuevers. I have not tried the SBs and bet those would work very well. They are deigned to be low inertia blades unlike the standard Radix blades.

Let us know how it goes,

Art K.

I love these things!!!
