Do i need to lubricate the main master shaft with a thin layer of grease or not

After each flying session I lube the main shaft with triflow oil (very thin oil) with a rag around the shaft below the swash. I move the swash up and down and wipe the shaft clean. I do this until I dont get any black stuff on the shaft. Then I put 1 drop of oil on the top of the washout and 1 drop on the swash via the shaft. Then shes ready to go next time. Same for the tail shaft.
Dont use grease as it holds dirt and gums up the shaft (not good)and its hard to flush out .

If your heli gets enough oil from the exhaust then you are only hovering and it must be so rich that it wont fly.
An exhaust deflector would help there.
I get virtually no oil on my heli, this will also depend on what oil/mixture etc

Backwards flight and tailslides will change your outlook in this area. Even with a well tuned engine (with CarbSmart) I get oil INSIDE the canopy on most flights...

Inverted hovering makes it just about enough oiled...that not only includes the swash and main shaft , but the whole heli
