Hi, I have just sold up all my Spektrum eqt due to a lock out trashing my new Vibe 50.

I am thinking of holding on for a JR12x dedicated transmitter however I thought I would be open minded enough to consider the Futaba 12FG.

Comments the good the bad the ugly would be appreciated.

Thanks,

MJ

I bought a 12 FG 2.4Ghz not too long ago. I have one 7 channel, two eight channel, and a 14 channel that came with it.

I had to send it in to have the stick calibrated, they were off right out of the box. Besides that, I have had no problems with it.

Great radio, the Fast system works very well.

The only thing about FASST is that I would inspect the antenna connector INSIDE the RX case after a crash. I had one that I ripped out accidentally on the bench but that could also happen in a crash and pass unoticed. Each antenna is only $7 and can be changed in seconds (no soldering required) so since that episode, I have always a few spare ones at home.

Like I said, I'm the expection and not the rule. FASST is as robust as it comes

Hi

I have change my stratusses from Futaba 14mz G3 ModeA (35mhz) to
2,4 FASST 14ch.

No problem at all (knock on wood)

It feels like they fly a bit different, like more "on track".....hard to explain...

Hi Andy and thanks to everyone,

I have dropped JR been with them for the last 15 years and now ordered a 12FGH. The programming, functions seem great for a heli pilot. The JR12X I felt programming wise a little behind and I love the fact the Futaba can be kept up to date with firmware updates at home :-) what a bonus.

I've been flying a Futaba 7C since Jan (around 135 flights) without any problems. What I don't like of the 7C is no graphics therefore I preordered my 10C.

I wish I could fly 24/7

You wont be disappointed with the 12FGH.
I can't really compare it to JR as I have always been a Futaba guy, but unless Futaba come out with a TX that can make espresso's as well as provide all that the 12FG does, I'll run this TX into the ground.

I have the 12FGH more than 6 months and is awesome!! No locks, glitches, interferences...... The best investment.

1) Hawk pro 30. scale

2) Kyosho C5. scale

3) Predator Gasser.

No a single problem, go for it!!

Regards,
Gustavo

I started with a 6EX and flew about 100 flights with zero problems. Then I dropped it lightly and that night I had to rebind all my RXs. Futaba went through it and it is currently coming back to me all free of charge. Before I sent it out I bought a 7C 2.4 and that has been rock solid.

Well had the 12FG for a few weeks now. Managed to get quite a few flights on my new Super Pro. It feels a lot more connected than my Module JR10x as I would expect with it having a lot less latency.

The programming menu's are excellent and easy to get around. The switch assignability is way ahead of JR and the ability to update to the SD card is also great.

All in all very happy with the switch from JR. It even balances with the neck strap without having to buy an additional mount unlike JR, lol

Great choice!!
