Hi guys,

i began some 3D manoeuvers and i found that my engine is a bit loaded when i give full pitch (+10 -10). Do i realy need that pitch for 3D ?? if my head turn around 2000 rpm, does +8 -8 could be enough and not load the engine Also, mabe my engine is too rich... but it seems to be OK. i have an OS Hyper Spining 600mm Radix blades MP-5 pipe

thanks

Ben.

Hey Ben,

Just got back from flying my Evo. I noticed my inverted collective punch out was not as strong as verted. I just got thru re-setting it. I had 13+ and 9-. It is now 12-12+.

You should not be bogging at 10 with a hyper unless you are really cranking on the collective. My guess would be it is rich.

I also have a hyper and run it at 190 to 210 range. Works great for me. TT600 blades. 7 degrees cyclic. I believe head speed is 2150 on idle 2?? Been a while since I checked it. 1900 on idle up 1.

Check your tune. I use a cheap temp gun. The finger test also works great.190 to 200 seems to match the 5 second finger rule.

BTW your heli looks awesome!!

Thanks for the comment Terry

on my temps gun, my engine run around 180-190. So i think i can close a bit again to reach 190-200 degrees. i have the same problem as you. not enough punch on collective when inverted but plenty of power and punch when verted. i don't understand why because my setting is +10 -10 on my pitch guage my throttle V-curve look, like 100-65-100 (idle up 1) so i think my head speed is around 2000 rpm. i cant see anything else than close the carb a bit...

Ben.

Hi,

c54fun
On what part do you check the temp?
Backplate, cylinder or topp?

Best regards

What paddels are you guys using. I found the stock paddels are a little too slow to respond for heavy 3D. They are great for general learning to fly.

700N, EVO 50, Caliber 5, Beam 450, and comming soon TREX 9000 :)
