| What about this...Just a thought, what do you guys think, this is my plan: Take an old-type starter cone. Turn it down in a lathe so that the head of a 6mm allen bolt( cap screw) will just fit inside. Cut down allen bolt to shorten it up. Thread inside of start adaptor, then thread in allen bolt and fix with red (permanent _ loctite) because the starter will inherently try to back it out. Since I have a ready supply of 6mm allen bolts, old starter cones, and a lathe should be simple enough, right? I'll post pics as I do it. Advantages- can now use a hex adaptor to start, but could still use a cone-type if needed. Also can swap out hex head bolt if it wears out (with lots of heat of course). Just an idea at this point..
