GOT IT OFF!

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t433404p1/

I now just have to make the whole in the hub bigger. This time I will be able to put a socket in the hub to tighten it correctly.

Soon this will be in the air.

A good day????......... is not crashing :)

Can anyone suggest a type of shop that would have a nice lathe that could bore out the hub. I mean what style of shop would have this type of lathe?

Anyone with a metal lathe should be able to do this. I have a metal lathe here at home and all you need is a boring bar to do inside boring. I use my lathe for turning the clutch material out of my clucth and making a few parts.
Look in your phone book for a machine shop and just walk in and tell them what you want. Typically be very specific on how many thousands you want removed or what kind of fit you want.

If we knew what we were doing, we wouldn't call it research

Went to a fab shop, and had it done.
He bored out the hub just enough to get the socket in.
Went on like a glove. No probs turning over the engine, and it ran fine.
Had to cut my day short because my MP5 came off, just before I was about to hover. Almost cost me the heli, but, it's fine.

I need to install better bolts I guess.
