i was hovering my sceadu 50 to finish breaking in the engine and half way through my second tank at twenty five feet up some kids firebird went right into the blades of my sceadu!!!

if i was lower i would have crashed but i had time to recover and land.

the first thing i did was kill my engine then i grabbed what was left of the firebird(trash)

one of my blades got a crack and flexes a little.

when the guy asked for the plane back i asked him to pay for the blades. after a while he gave in and paid.(thank god i don't have to pay the $100 for a new set)

any body else have a mid air before?

been there, done that.

Around 6 months ago, my Freya was blindsided by a shuttle. Around $300 worth of damage, the shuttle's front end disintragated on impact.

An then just 3 weeks ago, a flying buddy's new Vigor CS that only flew 3 flights crashed into a Ultra Stick.

It happens. Initially, I used to think this is a one-in-a-million chance, but I think the odds are a lot better that it will happen.

A lot of you have heard this before, but a couple years ago when I was just able to hover, an out of control plank flew into my hovering machine. The blades were trashed and to this day I have a dent in my Weston pipe but you should have seen the plane. Looked like it went through a shredder. At our field mid-airs are considered "one of those things" and no compensation is required.
