| Just thought I would share this. Somebody mentioned a while back about using a battery tray from a trex 450 to mount the gyro in a better location but I couldn't find any information about how to do it. So I got one and had a play to see if it would work. All in all it worked really well, very solid mounting and allows a bigger battery pack to be used. C og G is bang on and being a 401 it's great to be able to get to the pots on top instead of it being inside the frames.

To fit the tray I removed the metal frame stiffener from just in front of the main gear and used those holes to bolt the back of the battery tray to, and drilled 2 new holes to bolt the front of the metal tray to. You can buy packs of 2mm x 10mm bolts for the gaui that are the right size for the tray and hold it sturdy enough.
Hope this information is useful to somebody
