you meen how did it hover. lol. didnt fly it yet. for me i needed +40 expo and cut the dual rates to 60 and it had a perfect locked in hover. without the expo it was so senstive.

i do have a vibration in the tail though. real high speed. maybe fan is out not to sure yet.

Glad you were able to get her in the air Critterracing. I have seen tail vibrations caused by tail blades that were out of balance. The Aurora has a very fast tail 4.9:1 so balance of the blades is critical. Also, what headspeed are you running?

Critterracing,
You need to remove those Super stubs, that's way overkill for that rotorhead! Most everyone flys the V paddles for a reason on this head, it's very responsive...the V paddles are a perfect match, 90mm paddles are all that's needed! I flew Rob's Aurora at IRCHA last summer. He ran the 90mm V's, 8717's @ 8v., V blades...I flew the heli without any expo, and it felt great! Not nervous at all! Most will run some expo.

For a responsive setup I run 0 expo.

I agree that super light paddles are not needed.

I'm sure they worked great on the Raptor with it's head design. I had to use 105mm paddles on my Raptor to get the response that I liked. The Avant head is much more responsive and those paddles will make setup a little more difficult.

I think you can use the paddles that you want. The head is programmable so you can tune it to the feel you want with any paddles.

I have used the v-paddles and Stubz in my two AVANTS, and I can tell no difference. Both work great.
