my friends Synergy does a tail kick when hitting throttle hold and rotates to the left constantly throughout the whole auto....he has to correct to the right the entire time.....
What's going on?

probably because he hasn't set up his radio completely yet.
Sounds like the gyro is going into rate mode whenever throttle hold is activated

Hi

You probably have a non heading hold setup in your auto mode, or a very low heading hold gain.

we were....

thinking that that was the problem, but we are wondering if it is his hyper drive......the gain in the gyro is the same in HH in idle up and T hold so maype his hyper drive bearing is backwards or something.....

hopefully I'll see him this weekend and we can trouble shoot some more.

Is the sprag free and smooth? If you hyper drive is built correctly the tail rotor will free spin in one direction.

Hi

You may have rudder trim, a mix or an offset in auto mode. The trim would be the easiest to have unintentionally.....

If it is going in to rate mode and swinging the mechanical set up of the tail is not right or there is an off set or mix running.

we found out....

that it is a trim problem....it wasn't the physical trim tab, but the sub trim was off in T hold so it was swinging...ever so slightly but enough to notice that when on the ground the blades change pitch by about 2 degrees.....

Thank's guys.... this is why I like RR, its one big family willing to help one another.
