OK Thanks

So this might work with a specially made balance adaptor.

You can charge your batteries (2 x ?? packs) at once but you don;t need a series lead from the 2 balancers to the batteries. You plug each individual pack into it's own balancer and power lead. This does work as before I received my DUO I used to charge 2 x 6s 3000mah packs that way from my trex500.

I was trying to emulate charging a single 10S pack.

We only use chargers at work with internal balancers.

I tried the emulation of a single pack a few times but it didn't work. It needs the balance connectors to be wired in series to work that way.

Well I finally tried this and had everything wired as described. The balancer LED's were flickering and I had a solid light on the master balancer indicating an open connecton for Li-Poly's. But the charger kept giving me the following error: OUTPUT VOLTAGE HIGH. The battery was at 50% storage charge.

Don't know what I did wrong. Once again I think Hyperion needs to make it clear in thier specifications that a 1210i and LBA 10's can't charge/balance single packs over 7s.

It does work, I have charged about 10 times using this way and I know of 2 others that I have sent the instructions to that have it also charging 10s packs.

Hmm I may have stumbled across something tonight. In the test work I have been using 2 x LBA10 balancers that were not A123 capable. Everything worked great.

Tonight I have been trying on 2 x A123 capable LBA10 balancers and it seems it is not working. It does not seem to pick up the whole 10s.

I will have another try in the morning as it is late and could just be user error.

Had another play this morning and it works!

On the A123 capable balancers for some reason the connection light needs to be off rather than solid.

I will take a photo.

On solid means its not in connection mode, flashing green means its connected. Only need to press the MASTER button once when both lipos are connected then start the charge.
