i use heating kerosene, i get mine from Homebase/ B and Q,

the brand name is Parasene, and it is used for green house heaters, and parafine heaters in doors.

I use the normal 5% oil to fuel ratio and it runs fine, (edit... this is the mix for a Jetcat)

Matt

I bought my Mother in law a chair for xmas but she wouldn't plug it in

Hey Kim stop scrounging , put the stuff in and enjoy the flying , it's only money.

Seriously though , is this quality clean enough for our use in models?
Dave.

WHAT GOES UP MUST SURELY COME DOWN.

Hi Kim,

I do not use pump-dispensed domestic kero as my regular fuel but have used 25l of it in the past when I was given some (how could I refuse? ). Temps etc. were the same as B&Q's rip-off greenhouse heater kero which I am using currently while I find a reliable source of Jet-A1 (for the proper jet smell ).

Cheers, Mike

I use Jet A1 from the airport as well. Straight from their fueling truck. I need to go there for the oil anyway. You can't find the household stuff around here in the summer and I just don't trust the stuff at the local gas station for the turbine but just because of that gas station in particular.
