Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > Fuel tank foaming.

I've been trying to get this problem solved for a while with no luck so far. When I Hover my fuel tank is almost entirely foam. Heli is stable no shaking but there is a super high frequency vibration foaming my fuel tank. First I though the blades were not balanced but I checked the whole head and it's ok. Then I tore it down and replaced the following parts.

New Fan (old was warped a little.)
New bearings on starter shaft.
New clutch spring assy. thought it might be warped.
New clutch bell.
New fuel tank.
New starter shaft.

I've tried everything and cant seem to get rid of the problem. My next guess is to send the engine in but I doubt that would be the problem. any ideas?

All Synergy's fuel foam some it is just the nature of the beast just fly it and you won't be unhappy.

I run a fuel magnet.

Do you have the stock torque tube. and if so did you get it asswembled PERFECTLY straight?

Also did you dial indicate the huub ad the start shaft?

I use to Schluter Champions and I had two that had OS .61 Long Strokes. They were smooth and no vibes, but the fuel would swirl like a Maytag front load washer. The helis flew fine as long as the clunk was under fuel. Once it got near the foaming it leans out. At the time I didn't use a header tank, but I would today thinking back. I have a YS 91SR and assume it will do the same, though I haven't flown it yet.

Thanks for the replys guys. This is my first 90 heli and it's possible that the foaming os normal. It's not major foaming I guess. I just took out the engine and put everything back on the dial indicator for the third time.. and my max runout on the fan was .05MM up and down and side to side. Not too bad. everything else is pretty much dead on, crank shaft, starter shaft. ect. The clunk is still under solid fuel all the time. Maybe I'll pick up a header tank for it. I was just a little freaked cause my Rex 600 with a Y.S 50 doesn't foam at all. I'm pretty much a master at taking the engines out of N-9s' now. I can get them out and apart in 7 mins. And back together in 10. : )

Runout should be no greater than 2/1000ths of an inch. I don't know the conversion for mm to inches but that (5/100ths of a mm) actually sounds like it may be pretty far out. Also are you running stock torque tube or hyperdrive? If the stock TT is not put together with exacting precision It will cause foaming.

No more foaming

Synergy designed the new motor center block specifically for this reason. This new block changes the frequency of vibrations from a freq that causes washing machine effect/foaming to a mear ripple on top of the tank. You will also notice less wear on the fuel tank grommets near the motor mounts because there is drastically less movement in this area. This design was thouroughly researched, tested, and proven to reduce the amount of churning in the fuel tank.
Our testing has also proven that this is a much more critical area than the tail drive system for foaming issues. We have seen machines with perfectly true torque tubes still display churning while on the other hand, machines with runout in the tail drive system and the new center block installed showed ZERO foaming.
This is all assuming you have no other issues such as cracked frames under the motor mount, excessive runout, ect....

Our designer is constantly looking to improve the N9 for the public and this is just one of the great improvements that he has introduced for you.

OK. I was going to order a new center block from Heli Pros but it looks identical to the one thats already in the heli. Does anyone have a part# or a detailed description of this part?
