| Just got back from the field. Put 3 tanks through the new clutch. I really think there was something wrong with the old clutch from the start. Even after 3 gallons it would always slightly be engaged and the blades would slowly turn. Now, at idle the blades don't move but just a few clicks above it the clutch engages and the blades spool up. The first two flights were light to make sure nothing was wrong but the third flight I really banged it around. What a blast! I was coming down to land when i noticed the engine start to rev up and down. My first reaction was the clutch was blown. But strangley the heli still had lift. I landed and walked over. DAHH, i ran out of gas, only half of the header left and no fuel in the line. Note to self, never do continues roles and flips with 1/2 header of gas left
Oh, for the first time i got disoriented. I thaught i was inverted when i was upright. Jammed the negative to get out, or so i thaught, and OMG that thing came tord the earth like a bat out of hell. Holly cow, first time i have ever done that. What a scare. Will try to avoid doing that again
