| Yup, I got a question for all *you old-timers*, ahem, experienced heli pilots.
I got an ACT Slim Gyro 3D classic on Ebay, and want to install it into a Caliber 30 I was flying a bit last summer for relaxing fun. The little label on the side next to the LED says single flash pattern for normal, double flash pattern for HH mode. Well no matter what I set the CH5 output to, I can only get the single flash. The gyro acts normally, changing gain does affect the gyro response on the bench when I move the nose left or right, but it does not seem to behave as in HH mode, more like rate mode I have not flown the heli with this gyro yet.
I'm stumped. The manual I goe with it says it should go to HH mode similar to the way a Fut 401 does, but no dice (using my 9AC transmitter). The manual also refers to DIP switches and pots that my gyro does not have- there are holes in the case but a label covers them. Must have been different versions of the gyro. I think it was one of the first HH gyros- I found some references to the gyro from around 1999 online, but no other info.
Help? I might just go out there and fly it- I can fly in rate mode (been a while...), but rather have HH if I can get it.
