| RE the linkages, here's what you need to do:
The two elevator rods effectively set the height of the swash on the mainshaft, so their length is critical. Set the length of those two rods so the swashplate, at full low collective, does not pull the washout base off of its pins. You'll want at least 3 or 4 mm of pin engaging the holes in the washout base for safety. The aileron control system is along for the ride and rocks to and fro passively as the swash rises and falls. Therefore, you first set the legnth of the two aileron rods up to the swashplate so the bellcranks are at 90 degrees with the collective is at midposition, and then adjust the two rods going to th aileron servo so it's sitting more or less vertical at that same collective position. When you're setting up the ele pushpull, ensure the two rods going to the servo are EXACTLY the same length to avoid binding in the system.
