They are calling for a chance of rain but they always call for a chance of rain. The event goes on in spite of hell or high water. Its not like we are a bunch of plankers afraid to get our hair wet. . Last year they called for rain and some wussed out and it was bright and sunny all day. I can't guarantee we will be as lucky this year but we are hardcore around here.

The weather is not looking too bad, it looks like the highest chance of rain for tomorrow is 18%. Take a look here:

I have been VERY busy at work and home. It has kept me from posting much about the event. I have taken the day off to finish getting things ready and loaded for tomorrow.

Can't wait, see you all tomorrow.

I had a really good time! There were some really good pilots there.

Mark Fadley taught my buddy Devon to do the blade scrape, he even supplied the blades which Devon got to keep. I've seen several people scrape thier blades on asphalt while hovering upside down but Devon put his own spin on this trick by scraping the blades while making a low inverted pass down the runway. I thought it was kinda cool.

Bill and Blake did thier usual great job of making everyone feel welcome and helping with setups and whatever.

Funny thing though nobody has called to inform me that I won the prize for the raffle, a Trex 600N. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Mark and Bill always take some great photos. Everyone knows Mark is a great heli pilot but he is also one of the best photographers I have ever seen. Some of the photos he has captured are truely remarkable.

When you can see the wood dust shoot out as he is scrapping the blades, I'd say he has that trick mastered.

Well again the weatherman tried to shoot us down and again we had no rain at all. Saturday was great. A lot of great flying and some carnage to go with it. Today we had a wind advisory and 45mph winds. But a few braved the wind and flew anyway. Ben Parrot and Mark Fadely didn't seem to notice the wind.

Rodney Agee won the T-rex 600. He won a raptor the year before last so we need to figure out what his trick is.

Brian Rasmussen won the auto contest and the Rick's Heliproz South gift certificate.

Mark Fadely is the official photographer, DJ, and 3D guru of the event. We just need to show him how to light our grill and he could be a one man funfly.

I also had a great time on saturday

This was my first heli fun fly and I loved it but could not make it sunday. I would like to maybe fly neat year as I just had surgery on the hand so I left the T500 in the car.
Blake was that your scale huey ? I have got so confused on names after I got home. I guess because I met so many nice people there, it's hard to keep up with everyone.

Just wanted to say I loved it and will be back neat year to fly so I will be getting intouch with some of you guys to join. Keep up the good work!!

Sorry the gang from Morehead could not make it this year. I am sure it was great as always. We just got our flying field finalized and offical maybe we could have a mini funfly and cookout this spring. It would not have been safe to see me fly anyway I have not touched my heli's since last November when we lost our flying site.

Hey Guys,

I had a great time as usual, and it was fun to see everyone again. I'm glad the weather held out for us on Saturday cause Sunday was a real blow-out. I already have plans for this FF on next year's calendar. Bill and I were talking about having a 3-D school at the FF next year. We plan on running off one of the ends of the runway during the entire time. We will give you more details later. I think that would be a great addition to the event.

Here's a few pics from this year:

Just got power back yesterday. Thanks Blake and Bill for putting on the funfly, I had alot of fun. I think the Louisville Heli Boy's had a good turnout for the funfly. It was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
