You know , I just lost my mom last Friday and life has been very dreary and bad for me these last few days, I`m taking it realy hard.
But , today I was exspecting my parts to arrive from Harold at www.helicopterhobbies.com and when I saw the package I knew there was some kind of mix-up, I only ordered a few small parts and this package was a very large box and heavy.....
Well, Harold knew that I realy wanted the EP9 so he went ahead and sent it to me . Harold , you have attained GOD like status in my book. Thank you Harold , you are definatly one of the good guys..

Jimbo,
My condolences to you and your family, as I told you earlier, Ive had too many losses in my family at such a young age.

Youve wasted no time putting that bad boy together. I see they come with the carbon shafts. Is it heavy? What does it say in the manual about head speed. I know the borrowed parts EP16 and EP18V2EX have a maximum HS of 2200.

Thank you twinring...
Yup , I had the frames built before the postman left my street , and I live on a small street . Well , I`m sure it will be heavier , I will know when I get it all done. I just bought me a digital scale last week so I can get us a weight on it fully loaded..
The manual is in Japanese I guess , so this is where your expertise would come in .
Yup , they do come with the black carbon shafts , I do prefer the shiny stainless steel shafts . The black carbon shafts are not as strong as the stainless ones ...
I think the head speed limit on the EP16/18 is due to the 550mm blades being swung on the 8mm shaft ; I think this EP9 should be okay up to at least a 2800RPM headspeed.
I`m going to use some 440mm Helimax carbonfiber blades to start with cause that is what I have on hand , and I`m going to be running the headspeed around 2500-2600 which should be good ..

EDIT; Harold at www.helicopterhobbies.com has some more of these in stock so give him a call or E-mail him if you want one , he will give you a realy good deal on the EP9. Thank you Harold...

Sorry to hear the news Jimbo.. I lost my mother in 2005, and there is not a day that goes by without thoughts of her. Nice pics of the EP9... I sold my EP8, and miss it dearly.. I'm thinking of building a cameraship out of the new ep9...
