Hi Guys,

Which set of blades do you find are the most suited to the Beam E4? I can think of some popular choices as Funkey, Radix or V blades. What is your experience so far and which one would you recommened as being the most suited to the Heli's flying characteristic.

Cheers

Surprisingly, the stock blades do very well and are about 8 to 10 mm longer.

I think blades are to much of a personal preference kind of thing. Ie: my bud loves V-blades on his heli and I can't stand them. It might cost some $$$ but I think you've got to buy & try some blades out for yourself and see which ones YOU like.

The original stock blades white/purple are the $hit! To bad you can't get them. I haven't tried the newer stock blades. It amazes me at the oversights these heli makers seem to have. As great as the Beam is you still can't buy the frickin stock blades WTF? To me that's as insane as putting a heli on the market with no manual.

I have tried the Radix blades too and love them. They are a bit shorter than the stock blade (in fact, the stock ones are a tad longer)

works very well... harder to bog down the motor

Resently i got the latest price list from beam, with the stock
blades (white/purple) on it. So i guess its not to long before you

Definately V-Blades, more agressive. But Curtis RADIX will do fine also.

Jimmy,
the stock white/purple blades fly very well in my opinion!
They're smooth and very accurate in flight with great cyclic authority.
And another point to mention is that these blades are tough. Mine has gone through 3 crashes with no damage so far

Thanks for your input. Bought the following ones to give them a try and will give some of my feedback.

1. Orginal White/purple ones
2. Rotor Tech/Funkey 330
3. Radix 325
4. Still looking for the Vblades

The blades that came with my kit are white on the top and bottom, and are exactly the same length as the align Cf's I plan to use. I was going to use Radix, but due to the fact of them being sold out at my LHS, I decided to go with Aligns because I really liked them on my trex....

Some are saying that the purple/white stock blades are longer than trex blades, and Beam Helicopter says that the all white stocks are the same mould as the purple/whites but something just doesnt add up... I believe that my set is 325mm long... any thoughts???

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

HI Guys,
Well I can tell you for a fact that the purple blades are longer than the stock 325mm blades from Align. I have all of them side by side and the purple ones are the longest. The way the blades are measured sometimes vary between manufacturers. Some will measure tip to tip while others from hole to tip, thereby the difference.

I will take a photo to show the difference.

Cheers,
Jimmy

The Youngblood's rule!!! I have the V's also and I hate them, don't track nearly as well. I also have some SAB's which I like quite a lot for FF Flight. They are very smooth, but don't have quite as much pop as the Youngblood's.

I really like the new Thunder Power carbon blade that they have come out will. They are a little be longer then V-blades and work very will for my flying style.

The stock white purple are great. No difference between them an Align CF.

I'm running radix all the way but for fun trick.. I prefer to go woodies.

Check out a funny inverted I did with my 450 and theses white / purple blades.

I am using SAB blades on mine and I just love them. Better than the stock blade, IMHO. However I do more sport-like flying. It feels so much more stable with these blades that I also use them on other machines such as T-450 and T-500.

Yup,
Just got my SAB's and they are really nice on the bird. Gives very good stability and good in forward flight. I am not too sure for the adequacy of 3D as I am not a stick banger. Nice farting sound when flying too.

Good thing is that they are proper 325mm blades from root to tip rather than tip to tip of the align ones. Maybe the extra 10mm gives the added stability.
