make sure you give a firm pull up on the main when tightening the collar, if it hangs like 1 mm low it will rub..

Flybar build question

Can you install the paddles without using the lead weight that goes in the paddle?

You will probably need a drop of ca so the fairing stays put. Just like the Hirobo paddles, they tend to pop off without the weight in there.

Why would you use red loctite on the spindle bolts? How would you ever be able to take the dam things off?

Issues..... I have had a few minor ones. It sucks because this is the 2nd Vibe I have built and the last one went together perfectly without a hitch.

1. Notchy grip mixer. I don't know what is causing it. One side is smooth as silk no matter how much I tighten the mixer, the other side gets springy like a small spring is holding tension on it. Its nothing serious at all but it still bothered me I checked for burrs, tried a different screw, swapped spacers, swapped mixers, etc but it still always got "springy" on that grip. Swapped the spacer for one slightly thicker and it went away. The spacers were Trex V1 head grip spacers.

2. Getting the main shaft lined up perfectly was more of a pain than usual, but I got it after a few tries.

3. After heating up the hole I finally managed to force a bubbless clunk through the tiny gas tank hole. I wish they used a bigger hole so I would have my choice of a fuel magnet or bubbless clunk without such a hard time getting them in.

4. My fan hub. It fits very loose on my motor. The last one of these I installed was pretty tight. This one seems extremely loose. It doesn't spin when its tightened down, but it all fell together with no force at all.

5. My only "real" issue with the kit. My swash. It sucks. Even with all 3 set screw loose, it is a little notchy. I tried using the set screws to nudge the bearing around and nothing seemed to really help. When I tighten the set screws at all (evenly of course), the notchiness gets very bad. If I leave them loose, it is just a little notchy so I can live with it and just hope it wears in and smooths out after a few tanks.

BUT..... my real suprise came when I put the swash on.... or tried to put it on I had to really force it to get it on the main shaft. I know what you are thinking, bur on the shaft or jesus bolt hole, but I checked them both before I tried installing it the 1st time. The swash was EXTREMELY tight on the main shaft. Moving it up and down took both hands and a LOT of force. I doubt normal servos would even move it. After a lot of oil and slowly working it up and down, cleaning the worn alunimun, working it in more... it was still extremely tight. I finally ended up sanding the inside of the swash and the main shaft with 2500 grit sandpaper. Now it works fine.

This thing better fly perfect.... I'm definately not benching the 600 yet

I had the same problem with my swash being very tight on the main. I ended up puting the main in a drill and using very fine sand paper and some triflow oil till it was a nice smooth fit.

My issue was the tail drive shaft. I do not like the rubber bearing holder. And in my opinion it should have two bearing instead of one.
Just and opinion. I know that every Heli is on diet this days and they are trying to get liter.

I think the point of only one bearing in the drive tube is to eliminate any resonance thus the instruction to offset, and if you think about it, the torque tube is really supported in three places, plenty of support

Rubber Grommet

I believe the Rubber Grommet are supposed to be inserted in between the the Canopy holes.Rubber Half in half out, or else you'll loose them due to the heli Vibration. This isn't mentioned in the user manual. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I was advised to get some Stubz paddles, so I've taken the Stubz off my Knight 50 to put on the Vibe, and put the Knight paddles back where they belong. Haven't flown the Vibe yet...hopefully this weekend.
