depends on the pinion and the battery what about 13t with a 1800_20C bat for starters
...I am currently flying the 3900 with 11t and stock everything else (std battery too), lightweight, and it works just fine for me...
Now, at the expense of a heavier motor (40g to 60g) and compensating more than the kv loss with a higher pinion, you could turn the thing quite fast I bet. I'd use a 20C battery on that. Esky stock controlers shows burst up to 50A, 25A continuous...
then you'd probably have to upgrade a few links and motor mount and keep the thing light
