that 400jgf motor or whatever it is youll be rippin the main frame apart and crashin in no time.

just get a bigger pinion I believe a Dougie used to fly a 14 or 15t.

stick with the 300hdx3800 its plenty I just ripped mine apart and cleaned it lot of carbon dust in there. Want to know how I took it apart thats a whole new thread.

Blusaber had what I thought was a very powerful motor with a Hyperion --something or other-- it was the shi-at I did run big ass pinions and I think the limiting factor was my cheapo HK- love you long time- batteries Powerful -high KV motor with a high tooth pinion gear and 25 c discharge high quality bats strap yourself in cause your going for a ride

Doesn't everybody know the 3800kv Esky motor is by far the best answer to the King. I also have the 3900kv and its not even close.

Scorpion is to big and heavy for the King I have the 2221-8 in the mini and it's perfect for it. The Hyperion P1913-06m Is every bit as powerful as the JGF400dh and is 10 dollars cheaper. I kept it and gave away the 400dh

I have the JGF400 on a 9 turn pinion. Nice motor. Shafts were weak though and I snapped one in a minor crash. justgofly.com web site says that they strengthened them due to customer feedback. I made one of my own and have yet to break it.

depends on the pinion and the battery
what about 13t with a 1800_20C bat for starters

...I am currently flying the 3900 with 11t and stock everything else (std battery too), lightweight, and it works just fine for me...

Now, at the expense of a heavier motor (40g to 60g) and compensating more than the kv loss with a higher pinion, you could turn the thing quite fast I bet. I'd use a 20C battery on that. Esky stock controlers shows burst up to 50A, 25A continuous...

then you'd probably have to upgrade a few links and motor mount
and keep the thing light

VT "absolutly lovely stuff"

Pinions and batts really seems irrelevant. Right now Im running every batt I own from the original up to 2200mah 25C EVOs in the King w/ the 3800 motor and 10 tooth. It runs great with all of em. Plenty of power and all the run time I need. Now that little 3900kv motor is fair but in no way performs like its bigger brother. I do have em both here......
