Are you guys using the tail control shaft guides on the boom?
I've had tail control problems forever and today took the shaft out of the guides and ran it by itself. Suddenly the tail holds and I even had to back off on the gyro gain to lose a wag that I never had before.
I can only assume that they were binding the shaft despite being as loose as possible. I actually made a 50ft hover without it spinning out! I also installed chinese weights at the same time but I can't believe that alone made the difference.
I'm no longer fighting the tail all the time. I almost feel guilty having a gyro take care of it for me now. Feel like I've been flying gyroless all this time.

I don't use mine. When I first setup the heli, I tried and couldn't get the movement smooth enough. With the 43t pulley and 450 tail blades you might need to use them to get the shaft from bowing.

First thing I did was to ditch them, could never get the tail action smooth with them on. 43T Pulley with Standard Esky TR Blades If it is bowing the push rod, I can't tell.
