needing to buy a tail rotor control arm for my SE V1, and I cant find part#HT4004L. I ordered part#HS1175 but the cost 11.99. a few crashes and replacing this part alone will cover the cost of the new tail rotor system.

Are there any parts on the SE V2 tail rotor system that will make it not practical to up grade? tail rotor control arm for the V2 is only 5.79

or is it possible to find the replacement part HT4004L.. if so I have not found it yet?

crashing one heli at a time.. still cost major $$$$$

If you can buy the tail rotor control arm for the v2, by itself, then just get that. It will fit. -Karl

If were talking about the same part then yes Im sure it will fit. The control arm being the "L" shaped bracket with the steel ball that the tail push rod ball link snaps on to right?

I had a Trex450SA. All plastic head and tail. I have slowly upgraded it to a V1/V2. Infact everything is V2 with the exception of the V1 head. Anyway, I just matched up my old plastic tail to my V2(Dark blue aluminum) tail, and they were an exact match. Both are black plastic. If you want, later on I could take it off the plastic tail and trial fit it on the V2 tail but I am confident they are the same part. If the SA and the V2 are the same I cant imagine the V1 would be any different. Just let me know or PM me. -Karl

KET is right

the v2 rides on the ball and the v1 is over and under, looks like a two prong fork at the end.

Hope I didnt steer you wrong
I have a plastic tail from my S or SA, whatever it was.
I upgraded it to the V2 tail. They both connect to the slider in the same fashion.
Pretty goofy that those two are the same and the V1 was constructed differently?
I understand what your saying about the way it connects to the slidder, I just cant understand why they would change it for the V1 only. Im going to try and find a pic of it. -Karl

To all that have an SA, same as a V1 only made from plastic.
No where near a V2

The AMA is way better than what you belong to!

I got lucky. I a bag of parts sight unseen from a friend this past week and the control arm I need was in the bag..

plus I have also bought the complete upgrade to the V2 tail slider. going to stay with the V1 till I crash and break again then I will switch to V2 parts. this is my third summer trying to learn to fly heli's. I can hover but always on the box with someone.. this year it solo or in the ground. I'm sure i will crash more times than I want but I want off the box.

edit; maybe I have all the parts for V2 change over. do I need to have V2 tail blade grips for the up grade or will V1 grips work?
