Did anyone knows the headspeed for knight 3D, the headspeed that the rotorblade can handle? is 2100 is possible with stock rotorblade holder?

2100 is perhaps a little on the high side. I run 1950 normal and 2050 idle-up 1. The 3D is a fairly light machine and does not seem to require higher head speeds to perform well. I have 11/11 pitch at 2050rpm and its very responsive and quick. Equipped with a revmax limiter to avoid over speeding it works great. The stock grips are more than adequate.

I run mine at 2150 Using the TJ pro. That's where it performs best for me.

and one more thing "DON'T BE AFRAID!"

WFO is where mine runs at now. Gov sensor broke and found I fly the same without it. YS WFO is plenty of power.

Dx7 With Ion Power Supply. Why use anything else.

its not about what the model will take its about what the engine performs best at.

peak power of the engine is somewhere around 1950-2000 depending on what muffler your using. You want to be running slightly over this so when you bog it it bogs onto the peak power rather than falling off it.

i run at 2050.

I used to run a higher head speed (2100) and my engine bearings doesn't last. On my 3rd set I decreased it to 1850 on idle1 and 1950 idle2. My bearings seems to be holding up to now. Is there a connection or just a coincidence?

it is possible that bearings will last longer at a lower headspeed its also possible that your running slightly richer at the lower headspeed to which will also make them last longer.

however... you will be down on power. whether its worth the loss of power for extra longevity of bearings is down to you. personally i dont mind swapping bearings and if you catch them before they start getting noisey you wont do any damage to the engine either.

Engine bearings are affected more from rust than wear in our heli engines...Glow fuel left in the engine draws moisture from the air causing rust on the bearing...I find my engine bearings last longer if I run an engine more often...If my heli ends up sitting on the shelf for more than a couple weeks, I can almost count on the bearings going bad in a shorter period of time.
