I am new to rc heli and I have managed to get about 1 1/2 gal of fuel before my first crash.
On my first crash I lost the linkage on the collective and she slammed to the groound flat from about 20ft. I have replaced everything I could find wrong (servo gears-futaba 9253, tail rotor gears front and back, rear rotor blades).
Now when I try to hover she won't turn right, I used raptor technique to re-setup everything. I have tried everything I can think of to stop this, I have travel going both ways on the tail rotor shaft and can't figure it out. PLEASE HELP

recheck and make sure you slider is center and the servo arm is 90* to push rod. then hover in rate mode and adjust linkage till it won't drift anymore.
try that and see if it helps.

Thanks, The slider is centered and soon as the rotor speed starts to pick up the heli starts to turn left and the slider (looking at it from behind) moves all the way left and it still turns left.

during spool up the heli will always try to turn until you get your headspeed up and the tail starts to have more authority.
you can increase your throttle curves to come up to speed faster or just push the stick up faster to help resolve that.

I take my time spooling up the head speed so it doesn't turn on me. My problem is after the head speed comes up I have to use full right rudder to keep it from spinning left. I tried reversing the gyro but it just turned extremley fast to the left.

reverse the servo in the Tx.
the gyro is trying to correct but the servo is going the wrong way.

If you have the heli on the bench and turn the nose of the heli to the left the gyro should correct for this by sliding the pitch slider towards the tail box, which I think is what you say is happening and that is correct. So, I think you may have put the links on the tail grips that connect to the pitch slider on the wrong blade grip so your tail is working the wrong way round. Check the picture below and see if yours is the same.

The tail blades work like a rudder on a boat, if the lead (thick) edge of the blade points towards the heli then the heli will turn right.
