I was flying the King 2 yesterday and flying it hard. No problem thru 3 batteries, then on the 4th I noticed a slight loss of control. I was having soooo much fun, like a fool I kept flying. Then it started a left bank with no command so I hit the right cyclic. No dice. Boom. Since I have good stuff on the King and Belt CP (3800 motors on both- ar6100 rx on both- gy401s on both- s9357 tail servos on both- align escs on both) I'm wondering what I'm doing with those cheap a$$ servos on the cyclic anyway. I want something that I can pretty much bolt in without much modification. I'm considering HS-55s or S3114s for the King but even more importantly for the Belt CP. I know that this subject has been just about worn out, but how about a comment or two about these or other replacement servos? Thanks!

Lots of folks use the HS65s. I would also look at the s3113.

ive really liked the spektrum dsp75 i guess they are the same as the eflite digi's, and for the same price as the hs55 they are faster.

I wish I was good at this

I was going to say DSP75s but I didn't ... I guess I just see them as an over hyped replacement for the crappy S75 servos in the B400. Seems like that is what EVERYBODY uses on them. That said, I haven't heard anything bad about them and the price is nice. I just don't have any experience with them.

TJ Do the HS65s just bolt in? I thought they were larger than stock size.

I am not sure cause I don't own a Belt but I have heard people use them. Besides if it does take some modification, it will be very slight at the most.

DSP75 are weak as ones came with B400, They use the same gear with different electronics. I have not have good luck replacing gears on the digital ones. Once they break they're gone it seems.

What's the difference between the S113s and S114s?

I went with the HS 65MG servos on the cyclic. They cost a little extra for the metal gears but I have yet to crunch those after several mishaps.

Hey Sarge and Stocky
Is the HS65 MG the same size as the Esky 8g? I want to put them in both the King and Belt CP. I don't care much for frame mods just to get a good servo. There are many good servos out there that will probably fit, in fact I would venture to guess that just about any 'name brand' will be better than the Esky. I did not mention when I started this topic that when I took the bad servo apart (to replace a gear or two) there was no gear damage for a change. I hate to crash for any reason, but particularly when I'm flying well and have a mechanical failure.

No, the HS65MG is larger and will take some finessing to get it into the HBK2.

The 65s are every so slightly larger. I was able to install them with a small amount of persuasion. I did not have to modify the frame to get em in though.

I agree with stocky, tjinguy, and sgt heli (probably missed someone) - the HS65's *are good, but do require some tweaking to get them in. (thanks again for the mod info a while back, stocky)

But they are waaay better than the S75's that I originally took from my blade CP Pro.

FWIW, I ordered an s3114 for the tail and it arrived DOA. Although it's always possible that I fried it
