ok, so if you flipped the main rotors over, swapped 2 motor wires, rotate the boom to have the tail rotor on the left side, adjust gyro and neccesary servo rotations, would it still fly good? kinda like a full scale turns? one advantage to this i see would be an easy "grip flip" mod, as the leading edge of the rotor would have the input. i am sure this has been dicussed before, but haven't tried the search. has anyone tried it? i might try to experiment that way, but if i am gonna be wasting time, someone let me know if you have done this...

i'm tired of stupid signatures.....

You would also have to flip the oneway bearing.

And, I don't think it would be necessary to rotate the boom and tail box.

The older I get, the shorter my attention....... Oh look. A shiny penny..

That depends on the heli's designer. There's a few that have the tail rotor on the left side. The first one that comes to mind is the Aurora.

It doesn't matter which side it's on (Unless you're going for a scale look).

Most helis have a clockwise rotating rotor purely because the IC engines we use are adapted from airplane engines that have a counter-clockwise rotation. With one gear you get the clockwise rotation. For electrical helis there is no practical problem with either direction but most RC heli manufacturer’s stick with clockwise since most people are used to this.

It should be noted that there are a few RC helicopters that have counter-clockwise rotation (Heinselet Rocket comes to mind).

Tail wouldn't need to be altered as the rotation still should be up into the wash. The grip flip does work to inhibit the transitional delay. All not part of the head parts need to be fliped and or reversed to allow the head to work correctly.

The AMA is way better than what you belong to!
