LOL....good on ya. You are obviously more patient and less fussy than me. I couldn't stand anything other than true yet I often had to settle for 1/2 a thou to 1 thou and it took ages to get there.

Just saying the new system is way better.

If less than 20 minutes and under .001" every time is too long, well, what can I say to that?

I've been doing fans and clutches since the Schluter days back in the late 70's and 80's, Hirobo's are nice.

excellent T moore. you obviously have it sorted out well. I can't do it in that time and every time I tighten the bloody bolts up it goes out. I dont like the design. The trex 600n was way easier and actually smoother in operation than my sceadu.
On one clucth I had to shave some material off the hub to move the clutch over enough to get the bottom of the start shaft running true and after I did that the top was out by 5 thou! So the SS was not straight in the clutch. Then it was the old foil under the clutch to get that right...tighten up and bam....the bottom is out. I dont have the patience for that design....like I say the new design looks better.

Yep...

Whenever I dial in a Hirobo Clutch, I remember my old TSK with a separate start shaft, and I wonder why Hirobo must live in the past... Then I tell myself "it is a small price to pay for what is otherwise a great machine"

It simply means, all this price speculation and it is most likely that the US price has not been determined. Worry about fuel prices, they will be the death of this hobby.

If the greedy *ricks speculating on oil to make more money for themselves would back off it would go down. I only hope that the media will say oil is going to go down in price and cause a mass sell off of oil stocks causing a crash in the market and losing those speculators a lot of money.....it will happen anyway at some stage when half the world stops using as much fuel.....stocks of oil will sit idle and the price will drop. It's already happening....airlines are parking aeroplanes....people are thinking twice about driving their cars when they dont have to....car pools etc...demand will drop. Governments should put a ban on speculating on oil....it causes almost everything sold on this earth to go up in cost.

In all honesty....the price is going to be around $1500 isn't it? If it's already being sold in Hong kong for $1625 USD (13500 HKD) I can't see it being a lot cheaper there.....can you? It would have to be to compete with the Aurora trex 700n etc though.
