| IMPO Balance main and tail blades
If you have a dail indicator or a way to balance the clutch/fan assy, go do it, why not?
I have not gone to that extreme, not had any issues, but if I did have a vibration or tail wag that I could determine was nothing obvious, then the fan/clutch balance might be called for.
I do have a metal fan (Gforce) and installed it from day one. Haven't done this fan/clutch balance on any of my helicopters (6 in total, in 29 years of flying helicopters.)
Still, its very possible/probable that BadRaptors helis run smoother than mine.
Tracking is key as well I think. All my helis have been dead on tracking wise.
Other suggestions.... Get the 8717 servos, start at the top you wont regret this choice. File the frames to fit these servos before you assemble makes it easier (its a very little bit of filing, like 2 mm at most) I did mine after it was built. Course youll need a servo to know how much to file.
Align servo wheels for sure (hey this is only 4.99 and a great purchase)
X9303 excellent radio. Bind it even though it comes bound, and setup fail safe.
ReThink the Sparten. for the money the JR770 is a great combo and will save you almost $100.00 this can pay the extra towards the 8717 servos Support might be considered better for the 770 than the sparten depends whom you ask.
Check and make sure if you have a Torque tube that it is arrow straight before you install it. Do not settle for the slightest warp in that shaft.
If your experienced get the radix600 blades. Really best "all around" blade I think. |
