In southern California you have the two San Diego Fun Flys at the Palomar RC Flyers, the Southern California Classic at the Valley flyers and the Hirobo Cup also at the Valley Flyers. I'm not familiar with the northern California events.

There's a scale meet called "Circumgyration" in Fremont (NoCal) on May 4-5. It's a funfly type event with lotsa great scale ships and full-scale helis there...you can even get a ride in one (a Bell 47)!!
