I have a Trex 500 that has been great. All of a sudden in the last few time out they in forward flight the tail will start to oscillate up and down. If you do a straight climb out it won’t do it. I'm running 2 TP 2200 3S1P packs 12 tooth pinions last checked about 2600 head speed CF blades head and tail. If you change to normal mode after flying or lower head speed it gets worse. I thought the dampeners were dry and checked thinking that mite be it and they weren’t so I changed the dampeners to the upgraded with sleeve and its worse. Has anyone had this problem? Am I running to low of a head speed and why didn’t it do it from the beginning. Any input would be appreciated.

Too low headspeed, crank it up or use the 13T pinion

Yep crank up the head speed. You will see this oscillation during an suto as well if you do not keep the speed up. When I auto I do not worry about a little oscillation. I am running the 13 tooth pinion with 95% on throttle, 2200 6s batts and stock motor.

Thanks for the response.
I did put the 13T in and put the throttle and 95% and it was still there with the dampeners and sleeve in but a lot better. So then I put the stock dampeners no sleeve back in and it was better yet. I still noticed a little but it was at full collective into the wind and the wind is very strong right now there is a front moving in. I would not usually fly in this wind but had to try it. I think it should be OK. If any thing else that mite help or could be contributing to this problem I would like to hear from you.
