Audacity Models Pantera 50 - Tiger 50 > Watching my heli fly

I got to see my Pantera put through it's paces for the first time Saturday. It was great to see, I only wish it had been me doing it.
We have a new heli pilot(Rob) at the LHS. He has logged 200+ hours on the sim and his flight skills with a Blade cp pro and a Blade 400 are very good considering that he got his blade cp pro for Christmas and picked up the sim in the middle of January.
He was watching me buzz my Pantera around(just circles) and asked how it flew. I told him that it was a heck of alot more stable than his cp pro and 400. He started asking questions about The Pantera, some I could answer some I couldn't. So after seeing what he could do with helis that I knew were not even close to being as stable as the Pantera I decided to let him fly mine. "Are you sure?" Why not? I know how to put it back together and all my links are color coded and written down on the lengths. I refueled it and put him at the sticks. He took it off and buzzed around alittle bit already showing more control and confidence than I ever did with it. He asked if he could put it into idle up, I was alittle leary as I had just got through programming the idle up and throttle hold curves this last couple of weeks and hadn't really tried them out or had a more experienced pilot look at them to see if they were right. I told him to go ahead, but if it didn't feel right to go back to normal flight and set her down. Now the whole time this is going on I am kinda feeling like the guy who told his buddy to take his girlfriend to the prom type thing, but his control is just great for someone this new to the hobby. He hit the switch and the heli came to life, the engine started singing and and away he went! He did inside and outside loops, inverted, barrel rolls, FF flight and backwards flight. He tossed it around more than I'd seen anybody else do other than Kyle Stacy at the IRCHA!! The whole time I'm shaking worse then when I flying it, but at the same time I am thinking WOW!!! This guy can FLY! And man does that heli handle!! After Rob set it down I asked him "well what do you think ?" "It tracks like it's on a rail!! It never felt like it was gonna come loose, or that it couldn't do what I wanted it to!!" I told him that it was nice to see my setup validated and now was sure that everything was as it should be. I think thanks are to be givin to the crew here at Run Ryder for the help you have givin me in setting up this bird and THANK YOU JOHN for doing your homework and producing an absolutly wonderful machine!!
Rob said that he hadn't had a rush like that in years, and that a Pantera was going to be his near future. He is also going to be comming down with me to this years IRCHA event.

Thanks guys

Thomas

Never look at anything for what it is, look at it for what it might become.

Now that you know how the Pantera flys.
It's your turn. Take it slow and know the ship will respond.
Have a blast!

My name is Billm. Cough, and I'm a Heli Holic
