So i've been flying the k2 often those days...

since yesterday, a strange grinding/rubbing appears on spool up; it TOTALLY DISAPEARS after playing with collective and rudder... or landing or at least trying to do something

but when it occurs it generates vibrations and out of track blades, some power being eaten up as well

I rapidly took the head apart tonight to check if nothing was wrong in the main grips: the trust bearings are fine as well as bearings; housing is good too
i changed the dampners for new ones and lubed the trust b just in case
no play in the grips before and after reassembling

i've been flying 80 flights with the same parts except spindle and flybar that have been changed after a crash
so there is slope from flybar arms to servo horns...
could this produce some kind of fluttering?

what else?

Check all your bearings. If any feel notchy or gritty, they need to be replaced.

It could also be the tail slider. I was hearing some strange noises and getting some drag on spool up/down and traced it to the tail slider being at full inward/right rudder deflection and causing some rubbing on the bellcrank. About 3 seconds with a dremel stone cured that.

Tryan stopped whining so I've gotta come up with something new...

Might sound stupid, but check your TR belt. I had a weird vibration in mine that came and went it was the belt going low on the pulley...

hi guys, thanks for your help

probably a bad bearing in the tail indeed
those ones spin fast (and on a small heli, parts rotate faster and are smaller, especially bearings)
plus I remember reading some of you changing those bearings

I'll change the tail bearings and eventually report on test flight

I first went to main spindle articulation has there was out of track blade; in fact, it's the overall vibration that might cause this symptom....

anyways, only conjectures until I do the swap and test flight it

so I changed all bearings from tail to toe, plus the complete tail assembly and belt
and now, it's spinnnning free again
no grinding anymore
