e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Is it possible to adjust the timing on a 3900 brushless?

I seem to get a momentary bog from mid-stick hover into power. I'm running a pretty high headspeed to maintain tail authority so I'm thinking it's not an inertia issue even though the Venom blades I'm using are a bit heavier.

I'm still using the stock radio so I have little adjustment there.

If you have already programmed your ESC to "high", "hard", or "outrunner" timing, you have already bumped it up as much as you can.

The 3900 is a decent motor, but at 17A max, it's gonna have some bog. The AUW of the heli is also a factor. How big are the batteries?

Seems your right about overall weight. It happens mostly with the 2200mah 20c battery and less with the smaller stock battery.

As far as programming the ESC the moter and ESC package I bought from Esky didn't any directions what-so-ever on how to program it so I have no idea what it's currently set at.

Any resources on procedures? Thanks!

I don't use this ESC; I use the Dynam 30. I did find this linked from another forum. Maybe it'll help.

Thanks Shizack, I'll give that a try.

BTW, that pic is for the Esky controller, not the Dynam.

Yep, I'm using the Esky controller for now so this would apply.

hi
with brushless motors , all the timing is handled by the ESC , they are not like a brushed motor at all , bob
