It’s a BOY!!![ My Rex Pro just arrived!! An addition to my family. And yes indeed a sweet looking machine even when it’s all in pieces. I just finished gutting out my Kinetic 50 this morning so I can use all the electronics and engine. However, it was to my surprise that the Rex pro kit came with a Hyper 50, tuned pipe, and 2in1 BEC w/battery. Is this right? . I mean for $540. That’s an excellent deal!!! Not to mention the additional $50 off I got for the special. I paid close to that much when I bought the Kinetic 50 and engine combo. I should of went this route in the first place. Either I got lucky or the engine combo is standard and something I just overlooked. Anyway, Like I was saying… this is my first kit. I’m already puzzled because of the 2in1 BEC. Didn’t tear into the kit yet and I’m sure it will explain, but I normally wouldn’t see this kind of device on a nitro. As you can see, I’m new to this portion of it so I already know I got some work cutout for me. This setup must have something to do with saving weight… but I’m guessing.

Wish me luck

Normally the kit alone costs 500-550. I would check your credit card
Otherwise they made a huge mistake and your are reaping the benefits.
Normally the 600n Super pro comes with engine/bec etc...

They sent me the Pro Combo for the price of Pro kit. Should I feel guilty for their mistake? Anyway, just clued in what the 2in1 is used for shortly after remembering someone who already explained it to me.

enahs,
Thanks a million for that link. I don't anticipate allot of problems putting this together because those videos really break it down.

Again, thanks

Shoe Goo?

What is this stuff? Finless Bob applied this on the bearing blocks prior to seating the bearings on his build video. Im not sure if I heard him right because Ive never heard of it. He stated that it prevents the bearings from spinning and melting the blocks. Is anyone else applying this stuff in this step or some sort of adhesive? Should I be concerned about the bearings spinning because I never applied anything nor it was suggested on my other 50 in these regards. Im curious if this is absolutely necessary because if you had to take the frames apart later, wouldn't gluing them into the bearing blocks make it more difficult to take the halves apart? I'm just guessing here.
