I was looking at another posting about how to install a carbsmart servo and figured there has to be an easier way. I took an E-flight S75 servo and hotglued the base of the servo to the lower portion of the main frame just in front of the cooling shroud. Placing it there will line the arms up parallel. Make sure you clean the surfaces with some denatured alcohol before applying the glue. That servo is under no load whatso ever moving the mixture screw that making a fancy bracket to hold it is overkill. I have used hotglue installing servo's in foamy aircraft and those never come out so I am confident this will work fine. After four tanks of getting vibrated around, its still solid as a rock.

I am sure that Shoe Goo will also work well for this application (For those that might not have a glue gun handy)

Well that depends if you're a glue or a screw guy

One reason I gave up on Planks 25 years ago (I was 6 at the time) is that my planks had the bad habit of comming apart in flight. After serveral thorrow post-crash analysis I finally figured out that I pretty much suck at glueing things. This handycap became quite evident when I started to build race boats that, just like the planes, had a wierd tendency of sinking during their maiden voyage.

Thats funny! I bet there is nothing sweeter than watching your work boil down in a murky nitro fog into the depths of the Laurynthian Abysal while you stand there with a Radio working like a sonar searching for its lost receiver signal. "Hey Bill get out the scuba gear" we lost one. I never could get into a hobby that required a spare dingy and life vests just incase things got ugly.
I am more into doing the "walk of shame" to recover my carnage.
