Hi Folks,
I have read a good bit about the Align muffler issues with the internals coming loose. I was wondering how common this might be with the RJX muffler as mine started rattling this evening while I was flying. You can pick up the heli and shake it and here the rattle and there is a small hole in the muffler skin where the internals came loose.

I only have about a gallon through my RJX muffler and have not had any problems with it.

How much flight time does it have? Did you ever crash it?

Not really sure why you have the rattle on your muffler. I don't have quite as much time on my muffler as you have on yours. Sorry I could not have been of more help.

I have had one fail with loose baffles, I returned it to the kit supplier & he replaced it straight away.
With the high frequency vibration on nitro machines its not uncommon for mufflers to fail.

My first lasted 2 gallons before it started to rattle, a loose baffle was the cause. My second lasted 4 gallons, same problem.
Both where exchanged at no cost, and the third has worked well, over 3 gallons. If you want a foolproof muffler, get a zimmerman. Last for ever and is very silent. Not as powerfull though.
