Does anyone know if the 611 gyro will run on a straight 2s (8V)?
I put 3.5 flights on my new n9 on the forth flight I lost the tail and had to auto it in. pucker factor was definately a 10. I pulled the canopy off and started stiring the sticks and the gyro shut off and then reset.I checked the lipo and it still had 7.6v under a 1.5A load test. Does any one know if the spektrum regulator has a cut off voltage?

Hmmm, I wouldda asked that question before I ran it that way. No, it will not, you need a stepdown for the 611. Send it in for service, I'd guess it's fried.

I am running it on the 5.2 regulator. I was thinking of trying it on the lipo ...This now sounds like a bad idea!

611 needs to be run at about 5.2V max, tail servo too...

Don't matter the VR5203 should work for regulating the gyro and tail servo

611 gyro

What you were probably seeing has little to do with the 611. The 8717's were probably affecting the output of the reg. to the gyro by overloading the system. I would look at the voltage input to the regulator when the 611 is resetting. I suspect you will find the input to the regulator is dropping out.

It has to be the lipo that caused the problem.but it should of been enough voltage left to keep the gyro running. the regulator should work down to 5.5V.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!

The 611 will work on 3.8v to 6v.
The servo however will only work up to 5.1v-5.2v
Taken right from the back of the manual!
